Mycostop Biofungicide (25 g)
#20885
Quantity Per Case: N/A
Quantity Per Pallet: 10
Mycostop is a biofungicide registered to control damping-off, root and crown rot and wilt caused by Fusarium in greenhouse ornamentals and vegetables (cucumber, tomato and pepper).
Mycostop can also be used to suppress damping-off and root and crown rot caused by Pythium in greenhouse ornamentals and cucumber.
Mycostop is also registered to control root and stem rot and wilt caused by Phytophthora in greenhouse ornamentals, tomatoes and peppers.
Mode of action
Mycostop contains bacteria (Streptomyces griseoviridis strain K61) naturally present in the soil. The effectiveness of Mycostop is due to several factors:
- The bacteria deprives the pathogenic fungus of food and space by colonizing the roots of the plant before the fungus can.
- In addition, the bacteria secretes various enzymes and metabolites that prevent the growth of the pathogenic organism.
- Mycostop promotes plant growth and yield even in healthy crops.
Benefits
- A reliable product to control damping-off, root diseases and wilts
- Stimulates plant growth
- Induces plant defense mechanisms
- Effective in organic and synthetic growing media
- Authorized in organic horticulture
- Compatible with biological and integrated pest management programs
- No risk of resistance
- Persistent effect on the plant
- Safe for humans, the environment and beneficials
