Promalin (benzyladenine + gibberellins) is a growth regulator used on lilies to reduce yellowing and necrosis of lower leaves. It is also used to delay flower senescence.
To reduce yellowing of lower leaves, apply Promalin when lilies are at the "flower buds visible" stage. Direct the spray to reach the lower leaves. If the spray is applied to young leaves, unwanted stem elongation may occur.
To reduce leaf yellowing and delay flower senescence after the storage period, treat the entire plants, including flower buds, one day before cold storage.
