Mode of Action
Tourney is systemic in activity. It is rapidly absorbed into plant tissues and moves from the bottom to the top. Metconazole does not affect fungal spore germination, but it disrupts other developmental processes in the early stages of the life cycle of some fungi. Although it cannot prevent spore germination, Tourney prevents spore formation and inhibits mycelial growth. Tourney is particularly effective when applied prior to infection.
